Dear Current student,

I suggest that you save this list of suggestions/obligations and pass it on to the Ghana Education Board. They night be able to help.
Do you all have chairs to sit on in your classrooms and dinning areas?

I know and believe that some Mpayinfo will think I'm rude but I'm not. I'm just suggesting to Mr/Miss Current student to start using correct grammar. It might help him or her along the way.

THANKS.

Hi Current Student,

Thanks for your contributions. We are looking forward to hear more from you. We do acknowledge that our school is in dire need of "serious makeover".

We will try to assist restructure/resolve some of the problems with a collective support of OPASSIANS far and near and GES. It will take sometime to see real change, but trust me it is feasible and do-able.

Please stay in touch and keep us abreast with more updates, once again thanks for the information.

Our Dear 'Current Student', I've been visiting the campus 2 times year and I can say that building roads in the school should not be a priority. The most important part of your message that all of us must consider is the library, computer lab and teaching facilities that will enhance the academic perfoamce of the school. There are some things that Ghana education service should be doing through the proactive actions of the school authorities.
Concerning the comment mad by Edna, I fully support her about the proper use of the English language. When I was in form one in OPASS, the dinning hall prefect was one Sahene who used to speak 'broken' english. Soon after taking his english paper at the O'levels, he walked straight to the dining hall to plead with the students to stop using that type of english. His reason was that, before he was aware, he had written part of his essay in 'broken' english. I will therefore implore current students to stop using that kind of style. It took me awhile to understand what he was trying to explain. Thank all of you

Hi Edna,

I have to say that I am with you on this one. Not only did this student not identify him/herself, but I just don't like the tone that is used.

To add to your great points, we old students do not owe anyone anything (at least I don't!) Everything we have been doing is from the goodness of our hearts and the recognition that we need to help our alma mater. If this student has been paying any attention, he/she would have realized the great ideas (and the sheer altruism) that old students have brought to this site. We do care, but we also have other priorities. I am really impressed with all the great ideas that come to this forum (notwhistanding a few idiotic posts).

I also will take this opportunity to address an earlier plea from you, regarding how some of the "pioneers" of the US association and this site seem to have reduced their interest. I believe that the original ideals of our association (and this site) have changed from what I think the founding fathers/mothers had envisioned. Maybe we need to get back to our original ideals of raising money (I repeat-RAISING MONEY) to assist our school in any shape or form. Somehow, we have become more concerned with these annual parties, sorry "reunions", (don't misunderstand, these are important, but they were originally conceived as a means to an end--the end being ASSEMBLE AS MANY ALUMNI AS POSSIBLE TO FIND NEW AND NOVEL WAYS OF RAISING AS MUCH MONEY AS WE CAN). There is much more that I could write but no one wants to read about my gripes. We should connect sometime to discuss because I see in you the same passion with which Ben Awuah started this movement. It took Ben and a few dedicated people to get us to this point, and so a few dedicated people can bring our organization and original ideals back on track.

I have to close by saying that I have been very impressed by your dedication and obvious love for our school. Please keep up the very good work!

Dear Kwame,

Thanks for writing back. I REALLY will love to hear from you. I'm home on Sunday after church, 2pm central time. Call me at 281 650 7016. I admire the courage and good hearts the founding fathers/mothers had in forming this association. It was not easy trying to connect former students of OPASS through out the US of A. You guys did a good job. I hope that you'll come back and as the Bible say, "sit down and let us reason together. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Dear Snr Chisel,

Please send your $5 by mail if it's in a check to our address in Cherry Hill, NJ. Or you can use Paypal. Thanks for your $5 contribution towards our Alma mater. I know it'll go a long way to help OPASS be one of the best SSs in Ghana.
