Hi all, I called Rita and Eric's mum - Mrs Jane Adu yesterday and she told me that Eric will be in Ghana today. The One week observation will be today at the Medina estate, in Accra.
May God help us. I just cannot believe this sad news. I was chatting with Frank Osei Kofi on Monday when he told me but he said he was not sure. Am curious to know. Was she married?Did she have kids. May God comfort them. Is Eric or opassians doing anything in UK so that we can show our love.
Rita, Eric, Myself and Reginald Abrahams grew up together at Legon University of Ghana, Rita was Married to Reginald and they had two lovely Girls ages 9 and 7. I don't think Eric will be doing anything in the UK. The family is proposing the 10th of December at Legon Trinity United Church. It will be Confirmed today, will update all this evening with the date and venue.
So strange, Kwabena, help me get in touch with Nana Yaw once again. I need his contacts, email and phone numbers. You can also send me a mail. fkcapea@gmail.com
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of our dear sister Rita as we mourn her passing. I left OPASS in 1984 and I can't put a face to her name. Would someone who have access to her picture be kind enough to post it on this forum? My warmest condolences to the OPASSIAN family. Thanks.
Yeah, Rita is gone to be with the Lord. The good thing is that she served Her maker deligently in the 41 years that the Lord spared her to us here on earth. She was zealous for the Lord, loved the Lord with such a great passion!. A great intercessor, always interceeding for others. Very caring, served her church as Assistant Church Secretary, a Council Member, an evangelism committee member and a member of the welcoming committee. She preached her first sermon in August 2010 where she declared that she has chosen to avail herself for her maker to use her!! Which indeed she did. Mpanifoo life is too short, perhaps its a wake up call for all of us to ensure that our relationship with our maker is right for the Bible says we know not the hour or time that He will come!! God bless!!
Can some one please help me make sense of this. by telling me was wrong with her. I think she was at my daughters christening some 15 yrs ago in the UK and that was the last time i saw her. What really happened to her . OH God may God comfort her husband and children. She was always smiling and that's how i will always remember her.
I know Giffy Osew was her good friend. May God comfort all her family and friends. May God also give her children all the love they need.
She became ill on Saturday and by Thursday she was gone!!! Just like how the rapture will come, be ready for Jesus my sister, for we know not when the hour or time that we all would be called. As for her, she made her mark, what about you and I? Are we ready when the trumpet sounds?
The late Rita Abrahams (nee Adu) would be laid in state on Friday, 10 December at the Trinity Theological Seminary Chapel Legon, Accra, at 8am. Thence to East Legon Cemetery for burial. As many of you that can attend are cordially invited.
We beseech Thee, O Lord, in Thy mercy, to have pity on the soul of Thy handmaid; do Thou, Who hast freed her from the perils of this mortal life, restore to her the portion of everlasting salvation. Through Christ our Lord,
