Hi Brethren, This year's speech day has been fixed for 27th October 2007. This is the time to let our presence felt by the young students and others. Usually, its been the norm for old students to provide the best students' awards in the form of books. This year we have been asked to provide our support for this impending programme. I also suggest that we provide a laptop computer for the best teacher. comments needed.
Hi Yaw, I think it is a good idea for everybody to be involved but it would be ideal if a particular year group is assigned the responsibilty of organising the speech day.I think we should take this year group thing seriously.Moreover, if the speech day is orgnanised on yearly basis then the onus lies on the executives to assign a time frame for each of the year groups.By so doing, the whole thing becomes competitive and each year group can adopt a project and work on it .Most of the alumni groups are adopting this method and it works better.For instance, i think 88-90 can take on the library project and work towards that.Yaw can you do us a favour by finding what books are needed in the school's library and then we all contribute towards it.You can also find out from book trust and get some reading materials.I think it takes a few people to make an impact, so start campaigning for this idea and let us know those who are ready to help. Thats a great idea and I believe year groups should be assigned responsibility of organizing these Speech days. Hey 87/89 year group, where are you guys? We should be capable of buying the books and the laptop. Let us all get on board to make our Alma mater proud
