This is to inform all opassians the death of Mr. William A. S. Amoyaw (former music master and composer of the school anthem) which occurred on the 8th of October 2008. He was blessed with five (5) children. He was 74 years of age.
OH GADIA!!!!! THE LAST TIME I MET HIM WAS AT A FUNERAL OF THE OTIS"S IN K POWER. ALTHOUGH HE DID NOT LOOK GOOD IN TERMS OF HEALTH HE STILL MADE IT TO THE FUNERAL. I QUIET REMEMBER HIM OF THE PIANO IN THAT SMALL MUSIC ROOM. HE KEPT THAT PIANO JUST LIKE HIS 404 PEUGOET CAR. NOBODY TOUCHED IT EXCEPT GEORGE OTENG BUT I STILL MANAGED MY WAY OUT TO THAT MUSIC ROOM. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE
I was the Singing Prefect in 1975 and I can say with authority that Mr. Ameyaw was a very good man. I joined the school choir from 1971 through 1977 when I completed 6th form. I saw Mr. Ameyaw during the 40th anniversary and the 2 of us had a long chat. My association with him was like a father and a son. May his soul rest in peace.

I know one of her daughters started Opass in the late 70s, I can't remember her name. But I am certain the name was not comfort, it was one of those familiar names Perpetual or something. Do you know where they are now. She was a friend. Or is there any means to get in touch with one of the family?
