There are two prominent teachers in our alma mater that will always bring joy to our lives anytime we remember them; whether they are here with us here or gone to be with the lord. Those two are Mombutu and Gadia (may he rest in peace). They were the men that helped in molding us to become more discipline and resilient in our lives.

As I age in life and can't even jog for a mile, I sometimes ask myself why was Mombutu successful in persuading me to jog from School to New Tafo and back every dawn. Why was he able to get me to the field to exercise after siesta. Know that, even though seniors like Stephen Oduro and Ocansey will "kill" us if we "dodge" those activities, it was Mombutu that initiated those programs. On Gardia, I don't remember him using his favourite word "Goat" on me, but I must admit I never liked Music and for me to go to do well in his class was a miracle. Not only that, I did enjoy Church service because of the Choir and I definitely was on my best behaviour anytime I go to worship or church/

Anyway, one of Mr. Ameyaw's (May he rest in peace) daughters used to be my friend. I am not sure of the date she started Opass. However, if my memory will serve me right, it should be somewhere in the late 70s (1978 to 80). I can't also be sure of her name ...It has been a long time, you know....

I am wondering if someone could do me a favor and help my memory while simultaneously help with a phone number or email or any means that will enable me to contact her to extend my condolence.

Thank you, comrades, and especially the ones who have brought us together with this forum.

Dearly~

Stop being a pervert; not all of us are into games. Actually, do you know whether I am a female or man? Or, married or not married?

30 years and have not seen nor heard from someone is not as easy to recollect as you seem to suggest. If I could remember all the movies I "ran" to Tafo town to watch or how many times I was caught at "T" Junction, I think I would be greater than Einstein.

Take care and behave next time.

Love reading this forum to slash stress. It's been 30 years and walking on memory lane with the mere mentioning of 'Mobutu' and 'Gadiya' bring smiles to my face.
They made such an impact on lives. I remember Snr Oduro/school choir belting out those harmonious chorus. How lucky we were to have those physical trainings at dawn, compliment of 'Mobutu'. I wish I knew the importance then. I always thought it was just another drill!

Anyway I compliment you enquiring about somebody from the past. Last few times I tried, I felt like the guys misundertstood my intention. I wish we could just connect with each other without any ulterior motives. Think, the person you knew + 30 yrs is not the same. Good luck all!
