The sudden death of Mrs Mercy Yeboah wife of the late Mr R.S.Yeboah aka Mombutu, former Snr House Master and P.E Master of Opass died after a short illness.

Aunty Mercy fed hundreds of Opassians with her introduction of doughnut(showa),peanuts and the crispy Koliko, which was usually sold after prep. It helped beat the hunger crunch during 1982-1984. Koliko na aba oooo, was the ring tone to announce for its arrival. Students survived not only on carpet which was difficult to get but saved a few coins to topup the gas and kenkey. Infact though hundreds of cedis worth were stolen by those with the long hands, she still did not give up.She thought Frank how to give and take to reduce lost.

Death oh death, you have laid your icey hands on our beloved Mum,Aunty Mercy. May your soul rest in peace. To my brother Frank Akata Yeboah and siblings we wish you our heart-felt sympathy.Remember in all things,Give Thanks but I mourn with you in spirit.

Frank can be reached on 001 678 851 5195 cell or oo1 770 381 0742.

Very sad indeed. I had known Mr. Yeboah and his family since 1970. It was the same year that he first came to OPASS and I went to form one. The family became part of the institution and I'm really shaken by her death. I'm persoannly indebted in them for the care and love they had for all students. May her soul rest in perfect peace because she her and husband were peaceful. Goodbye and I know that you are with your husband and in the bossom of the lord.
