GOOD OLD OPASSIAN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY WANT TO START FORM 1 ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!! STUDENTS ARE REALLY FUNNY. AT SCHOOL, GETTING TO THE LAST DAYS OR WEEKS, STUDENTS RUN OUT OF FOOD AND OBVIOUSLY FIND WAYS AND MEANS TO SURVIVE, RANGING FROM STEALING AND TOTALLY HANGING OUT WITH THE DADA BAs TO FILL THEIR STOMACHS,,, EUGENE DJABA WAS ONE SUCH GUY PEOPLE LOOK UP TO. GOING TO TRADE FAIR, AUSTRALIA, NKWANTA NAN AND SHIPS FROM THE GIRLS DORM WERE SOME OF THE SURVIVAL SPOTS JUST TO NAME A FEW. AS THE GOING GET TOUGH AND THE TOUGH GETS GOING, THE AGYA BAs OR THE AFUOM GUYS{WITH ALL APOLOGIES} STARTED A NEW TREND, THE CASSAVA AND PEPPER SPIRIT,,, THIS TIME ON THE FARMS OF THE SCHOOL AND MASTERS. MOBUTU AND THE TWI MASTER WERE THE WORST AFFECTED. AT ONE TIME THE ONYINAH SISTERS HAD A COUSIN FROM AMERICA AS A STUDENT OF OPASS. HE REALLY SPOKE THE AMERICAN SLANG WITH EASE. HE THEN FOUND HIMSELF IN THE LAST DAYS PREDICAMENTS AND JUST TO KEEP HIM GOING, JOINED THE APORTORWEWAA AND PEPPER TRACKS. HE ONE TIME CAME TO ME AND ASKED ON QUOTES IN THE AMERICAN SLANGS,,, COMPEE, DO YOU HAVE APORTORWAAA{NOT APORTORWEWAA,,,HE OMMITTED THE -WE-} AND TAARPOLI?,,, JUST IMAGINE THIS IN THE AMERICAN SLANGS?

It appears Compee is committed to "relaxing" some of us every evening with something "fresh" from OPASS... so many memories. I find this quite exciting after the day's hassles.

Ref: Last days-
I normally sneaked home (Tafo) around those last days most of the time with a few friends just to eat and luckily enough - we were never caught.

In fact there was no need for me to be sneaking out because I was fortunate to have wonderful house-masters who never refused me an exeat... but I did sneaked out any way, why? I coun't tell you.

Will be looking forward for my daily dose. Thanks Bro.

The American guy is Samuel or Sam Addo. He is in LA and he remembers the good old days at Opass. His heart is still in Ghana and visits quite often with his family. I could not stop laughing after reading the story. It brings back good memories. Life was simple then and we will never get it back again. Guys keep on reminding us of the good times of our youth.
