Dear MPANYINFO,

PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE ASSOCIATION

This is a brief report on the progress of the association with regards to going forward with the up and coming anniversary.

The Executive have met and have taken a few steps and decisions to this effect. These are outlined below:

1. The annual general meeting would be held on the 30th of April 2011. This would be to elect The Executives Committee for the next term of office running for two years as outlined in the constitution. We entreat all OPASSIANS to be present on that fateful day to register their rights in leadership appointment.

2. On preparation towards the golden jubilee, the executive have proposed the raising of a memoriam for the occasion. This could be in the form of a statue or a memorable stone bearing the name of either Mr K Adwedaa (first headmaster) or Nana Ofori Panin (the great Akim Abuakwa Chief) at a location where suitable. This would be done in close consultation with the headmaster and the authorities that matter.

3. It has been decided that the President elect must be present at the occasion to represent the UK Association and to honour the occasion.

4. An Electoral Committee would be appointed to accept nominations and to conduct the electoral process on the 30th of April. Membership to this committee is open to all. All Mpanyinfo are hereby entreated to respond to show their interest.

Finally we are entreating all Mpnanyinfo to come forward and make their voices heard to make mother OPASS a proud institution. Currently the situation in OPASS needs our support.

Thank you all for your patient and God Bless.

Sincerely,

Samuel Marfo
(Acting President, OPASS UK)

Dear Friend of OPASS

Thank you All for your kind responses recorded on our Notice Board regarding the Progress Notice of the UK Association.

So seldom is it that a Friend of OPASS takes the time to register their heart-felt appreciation for the excellent work of the Executive, that I feel moved to reward your
initiative.

This acknowledgement goes to Nana Asiedu, Mr Stephen Bona (1962) and Mrs Doreen Effina-Williams.

I hope and pray our other Friends would follow this initiative of encouragement and sense of belonging. After all, we are OPASSIANS with the common goal of supporting our ALMA MATER.

Thank you.

OTIS

Senior Otis

The account number for OPASS UK please. If we know the number then people will be encouraged to set standing orders or something. Can the execs also come out with a figure please? I think we should set the ball rolling before the April meeting.

Thanks
