In our desire effort to expand the scope of the OPASS Foundation to support the operations of the school. Lets look beyond the horizon and ponder over what we can do to have a direct impact on the school and the local population. There has been numerous discussions, ideas, initiatives and a whole array of projects in the pipe line. Let's remember that the school belongs to the community, and we can always partner up with the local administrators and seek support from Non-Governmental Support Agencies. The founding members and the executives of this foundation have done a great deal to establish a solid forum for the larger population.
We seem to struggle with collecting funds and soliciting support from the old student population. These are just ideas to help move on with our projects.

1. Any contribution is highly appreciated and I believe it will be channeled in the right direction.
2. Since we have the structures in place (even though they are old, but it has an appreciable value).
3. As a foundation we can contact the African Library Project - ALP (http://www.africanlibraryproject.org) to help with books supply to the school. We can use the school as a hub to support a community library or research library for the community. To enhance reading habits and stem out illiteracy. I believe this will take lots of coordination and communication. The end result is a sustainable program that will yield good results and take some of our "pain" in the process. It will have a direct impact on the local population and attract support from the community.
3. The US Peace Corps is another support branch that can help us with some of the ongoing projects at the school. We have to apply and seek their support to assist us in our projects. This requires an aggressive and persistent action from the school's management. We as a foundation can always seek support from existing Non Profit Organizations with an educational global reach.
This is just an idea that I will like to share with the members of the executive board, the Old Students Association and members of the larger population.
