Dear All

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in Advance.

The year has been quite eventful for us all. I applaud the good work of our Brothers and Sisters in United States, and back home, Collins Boafo and the fine Team.

In the new year, let us all pool resources to foster this brilliant initiative.

I suggest,we contribute to develop the website further to enable separate domain names, say, 'OPASS85' for all Classes, and let us dedicate the present one to the world.Let us discuss Folks!

We can embrace the growth, can't we?

Best Wishes

Otis

Hello Mr. Dokyi, Merry Christmas to you too! Hope you will enjoy yourself. I think your idea is brilliant but I will suggest that, instead of having different domain names, Class names or years can hang on this main one. Like different pages could be created for the different classes as links. But I think the Webmaster should be paid to do this by the individual classes. I hope you understand what I mean.

Thanks for your contributions mpaninfoo. Sure, we are always looking for ideas for growth ("... the way forward" --sounds familiar?).

We can always create links to accommodate such functionalities as Mr. Apau suggested. We don’t have to spend anything more on domain names.

While discussing the posibility of creating other links, we can pull our resources together and make our homepage quite  attractive by way of articles, pictures, announcements, comments, jokes, current events, stories, discussions etc. I'm ready to update the site whenever such materials are available so we don't have to worry about paying anything for this. I’m pretty sure Mr. Apau can help with short stories every now and then. What do you think Opanin? Thanks Mr. Dokyi.

Hello Awuah, I hope for short stories, that will not be a problem at all. I think we should just come out with a plan and how the sites will be. For the structuring, we will leave that to you Awuah, but people should come out with suggestions. Waiting.

Ben/Edward/Otis......Mpanyinfo,

As a sequel to the suggestion on the 'floor', I propose a 'Professional Page' be created for various professionals to come out with titbits on their areas of study that may be to the day-to-day benefit of all users of the website. e.g an interior decorator could give us common tips on choice of colours for various areas in the home etc.

If you agree, Webmaster, I can set the ball rolling as soon as the system takes off, whilst others prepare their "notes" to join in later.  To ensure some control, it would be prudent if a system is developed for members to send their contributions first to Webmaster then he will 'publish' later on the website.  This will also help us stretch topics over a considerable period of time and spice the page with varieties.

In the long term too, Old Students (especially those resident in Ghana) - as a body - could "sell" their professions periodically to students of Opass through symposia.  This may not only guide the students in the choice of their careers but also enlighten them on various professions.  For sure, some of us were misled into choosing disciplines not as a matter of interest but due to lack of proper guidance.

Is this worth pursuing?  Over to you Mpayinfo as you enjoy the best of the yuletide!!!  Best wishes for this X'mas and a prosperous 2007 and beyond.
